Basic Hunter Tips for MoP
BM is the one and only viable spec (it’s also pretty damn OP when popping CDs).
Many comps are viable to a high level from what I’ve tested: KFC (with any healer; Druid is superior due to the CC and HoTs then Paladin/Resto Shaman). Then we have other comps such as triple BM Hunter. I’ve yet to test anything else but from what I know and have seen, the following classes are Top Tier: Warrior, BM Hunter, Resto Druid, Resto Shaman, Holy Paladin, Death Knight. Mages are close behind but not god-like as they are countered a lot by BM Hunters.
Pet: Spirit Beast (Heal + HoT on a 28 second cooldown).
Second best pet is the Crane (4 second Sleep, instant cast – doesn’t DR trap)
The Crane is superior to Monkey therefore rendering Monkeys obsolete.
You will generally want to be popping Rapid Fire along with Beastial Wrath, PvP agility use trinket and possibly stampede depending on the comp.
NOTE: The 4-set bonus makes it so Rapid Fire grants 3200 PvP Power when active and the actual haste is pretty pointless anyway as BM so you should be using it for a flat damage increase. (never use rapid fire for cobra shot purposes)
- I move with E S D F
- I set Arena focus 1/2/3 with Naga button 1 + Shift and Alt modifier
Important: you should have your abilities with CDs that you need to know the CD of close together, as you may know camouflage is now a mini vanish in combat so I will be moving that towards my readiness on my bars in the near future.
Glyph of Disengage – Increases distance when you travel with Disengage
also allows you to disengage back up to the second floor of dalaran sewers.
Glyph of Scattering – Removes all DoT effects from the target that you use scatter shot on.
Third glyph is dependant of who you are facing in arena – you can now see who you are facing before arena starts and you can change glyphs and talents accordingly.
Glyph of Mirrored Blades – Causes Deterrence to reflect all incoming spells.
Glyph of Master’s Call – Increases duration of Master’s Call (freedom) by 4 seconds.
Glyph of Mend Pet – 50% chance per tick to remove one Magic, Poison, Curse or Disease effect from your pet.
Glyph of Camouflage – Camo will give stealth even when moving but movement speed reduced by 50%.
Glyph of Explosive Trap – Removes damage from Explosive Trap but grants it a knock-back effect when triggered.
Glyph of Stampede – Duplicates your current pet when you use Stampede instead of using your stable.
Glyph of Revive Pet – Removes knockback from direct damage when casting Revive pet.
Glyph of Aspect of the Cheetah – Removes daze component of Aspect of the Cheetah but puts aspects on a 4 second CD when you are hit directly by an attack.
This page will be updated with more information in the near future.
1v2 DOUBLE BM HUNTER
Sort of a 1v2, but very close to it! Was an extremely close fight on the stream and decided to share it with you lot
Zarhym shares Mists of Pandaria midnight activation details
Did you preorder a digital Mists of Pandaria copy and are wondering how the transition will work from Cataclysm to the brand new expansion? Well, Zarhym from Blizzard has the low down on this. I was very weary about this as last expansion launch was awful with waits of up to a few hours before some people could login! (varied on strength of connection, Scandinavia generally getting in quicker due to fast internet back then)
[bluequote] Zarhym – Mists of Pandaria Midnight Activation Details [/bluequote]
[bluequote]The time is nearly upon us as the mists begin to part and a new age of discovery amidst turmoil begins! For those of you prepared to begin your adventures the moment Mists of Pandaria is launched in your region, we’ve put together some important details that should get your expedition underway.
As soon as we activate the new expansion content on launch, players who already have a Mists of Pandaria license with the data installed will gain instant access. If you’re in the game when the clock strikes midnight, you don’t even have to logout!
So, what happens at midnight for those of us with Mists ready to go?
- A yellow System Message will appear in your Chat Log telling you to visit Orgrimmar or Stormwind to start your travels.
- Level-85 characters will receive a new quest, no matter where they are in the world, which will guide them to Varian or Garrosh for further orders.
- If you’re online at midnight you will receive the quest even if your Quest Log is full — or you can visit Varian or Garrosh to get started on your journey to Pandaria.
- Level-85 players will notice their experience bars automatically change so that experience can once again be earned.
- Players who are at the Character Creation screen at midnight will notice the button to create a pandaren character will be enabled. (Reminder: This also applies to players who don’t have a Mists of Pandaria license, as all races are now included with a base copy of World of Warcraft.)
- Players who are at the Character Creation screen at midnight will notice the button to create a monk character will be enabled.
We’ve been very hard at work on this new technology with the goal of ensuring that players can enjoy a more stable and seamless transition into the next expansion than ever before. Our staff will be monitoring realm stability and gameplay issues around the clock, as we want to provide you with the best experience possible.
We’ll see you on Pandaria![/bluequote]
Sounds like it’ll be smoother than cataclysms launch.

World First Level 90 Mists of Pandaria
World First Level 90 - Just over one day to go until Mists of Pandaria launches.
If you didn’t hear already me, Athene, Hotted, Jimos and many others have gathered an army to attempt for World First 90 in Mists of Pandaria and you still have a chance to be part of this – simply be on Stormscale Horde or Alliance, join “the ratslayers” on Alliance or “Athenelive” on Horde and be on a few hours before Mists of Pandaria launches so that everything can be organised including Ventrilo details and so on. As X-realm is possible, there will be a lot of World PvP so people need to be awake when being part of the event.
Also Athene will be handing out a lot of Razer gear for those that take part so you might be in for a chance to win one of those new sexy Razer Blacksharks or anything else in the price range.
Further questions about this event can be discussed in the forums by clicking here.
Introducing my first Razer Academy video – Hunter PvP Talents in Mists of Pandaria
Yo, I’ve teamed up with Razer and have some great videos coming up on the Razer Academy throughout Mists of Pandaria (the upcoming World of Warcraft expansion) and I’m proud to share my first video with you guys, an introduction about Hunters in MoP going over the talents and showing you what the shizzle looks like and what new cool stuff Hunters get.
